Pickleball champions crowned at Gorilla Smash and Odisha Open

Recent pickleball tournaments sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) under the Pickleball World Rankings (PWR 200) circuit have concluded in Chennai and Odisha.

At the Gorilla Smash Trophy Tour in Chennai, Sanjay and Madhuridha Rajavel secured the Mixed Doubles title with a 15-4 victory over Surya Kumar and Kamini Boopathy. In the 50+ Doubles category at the same event, Rocky Raghavan and Suneel Shankar defeated Himanshu Shankar and Thomas Joy 11-5 to take the title.

The Odisha Open saw several championship results. In the women’s doubles, Prasidhi Poddar and Vedika Das won gold by defeating Sakshi Agarwal and Anisha Panigrahi 11-7. In the men’s singles 30+ category, Sumeet Bajaj claimed the title with a 15-7 win over Subrat Sahoo, while Rajesh Pradhan took bronze. In the men’s singles 40+ division, Rajender Agrawal secured gold after a dominant 11-1 victory against Jassi Chahal, with Rajesh Pradhan also earning a bronze medal in this category.
