Odisha Public Service Commission announces 172 prosecutor vacancies

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the recruitment of 172 Assistant Public Prosecutors for Group-B positions within the Odisha State Prosecution Service under the Home Department.

Eligible candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and possess at least two years of experience as a practicing advocate. Applicants are required to provide a certificate of enrollment from the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council, along with experience certification from a District & Sessions Judge.

The recruitment includes 58 reserved seats for women and horizontal reservations for ex-servicemen, sports persons, and persons with disabilities. The basic pay is set at ₹44,900 under Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, plus applicable allowances. Online applications are open from August 28, 2026, until September 28, 2026, with a tentative preliminary examination scheduled for November 1, 2026.
