Odisha secures ₹66,392 crore in investment proposals
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has concluded a two-day investment outreach in the Delhi-NCR region, securing investment proposals totaling ₹66,392 crore. The initiative is expected to potentially generate 54,135 jobs across various sectors.
The outreach, part of the state's “Purvodaya” vision to promote Odisha as a competitive manufacturing hub, included 38 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹64,703 crore, which could create 46,071 jobs. Additionally, Investment Intention Forms (IIFs) worth ₹1,689 crore were received, with the potential for 8,064 more positions.
Key sectors targeted during sector-specific roundtables included engineering goods manufacturing, textiles and apparel, and aluminium ancillary and downstream industries. The Chief Minister also visited a Haier manufacturing facility in Noida to review processes and discuss opportunities in electronics, consumer durables, and supply chains.
