Odisha startups present innovations at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Three grassroots startups from Odisha—GARGI Automated & Robotic Gadget Industries Private Limited, Newrup Tech Solutions and Urban‑Hyphae Bioscience—showcased their homegrown solutions at an exclusive exhibition held in the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The founders met President Droupadi Murmu during the event, which was part of the Atal Innovation Mission and featured innovators from across India.

Government officials highlighted the significance of the showcase. Minister Gokulananda Mallik praised the initiative as evidence of India’s drive toward becoming a global entrepreneurial powerhouse under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while Commissioner‑cum‑Secretary Rashmita Panda emphasized the role of the Odisha Startup Policy in fostering young talent. Smrutiranjan Pradhan, CEO of ‘Startup Odisha’, noted the support provided through incubation, grants and platforms.

GARGI Automated is developing assistive‑technology products for persons with physical disabilities, including transformable bed‑chairs and exoskeleton technologies aimed at improving mobility and independence.
