Odisha Vigilance raids engineer and arrests police officials in anti‑corruption crackdown
Odisha Vigilance launched coordinated searches at seven locations linked to Assistant Executive Engineer Satyanarayan Sethy in the Koraput district after allegations that he possessed assets disproportionate to his known income. The raids covered his official residence and office in Kotpad, a rented house in Jeypore, a flat in Jatni, his ancestral home in Kendrapara and agricultural land in Borigumma tehsil.
In Bhubaneswar, the same vigilance agency arrested ASI Rajesh Kullu of Mancheswar Police Station and Home Guard driver Jyoti Ranjan Behera following a sting operation that revealed they demanded a total of Rs 100,000 as a bribe to influence a case and return two mobile phones. Kullu was immediately removed from service, the Home Guard personnel received termination notices, and a case was filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
