Odoorn and Borger to host organ excursion in October 2026

An organ excursion is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, featuring visits to historical instruments in Odoorn and Borger.

The tour begins at 10:00 AM at the Margarethakerk in Odoorn. The church's organ, originally built by Petrus van Oeckelen and later replaced following an 1897 fire, was recently restored by Reil Orgelbouw under the advice of Stef Tuinstra. The instrument was officially put back into use on September 11, 2026, following a concert by organist Wim Boer.

Following a lunch in Borger, the excursion continues at 2:00 PM with a visit to the organ located in the former Hervormde Kerk in Borger.
