ODRO’S Foundation provides mobility aids and educational support in Cape Coast
ODRO’S Foundation has marked 16 years of supporting persons living with disabilities in Cape Coast, Ghana, through its latest distribution of mobility aids and educational materials.
The 2026 intervention included the donation of 13 wheelchairs, two walkers, four crutches, one pair of calipers, 30 spare wheelchair tires, and 20 walking-stick rubber tips. To support students in Senior High School, the foundation also provided 20 mattresses and 20 items locally known as chopboxes to improve comfort for students living away from home.
Maame Samma Peprah, Chief Executive Officer of the Office of the Registrar of Companies, noted that the initiative aims to promote dignity, independence, and full societal participation. The project originated in 2010 at Victoria Park following an appeal from members of the disability community seeking equipment for sporting activities.
