Odumeje criticizes Nigerian government over Southeast infrastructure

Nigerian cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanemere, widely known as Odumeje, has criticized the Federal Government for the lack of major transport and diplomatic infrastructure in the Southeast region. Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Odumeje argued that despite the significant commercial role played by the Igbo population, the region lacks internationally recognized airports, seaports, and embassies, which he noted are concentrated in the North and Southwest.

Odumeje specifically questioned the approval of a new seaport in Ogun State, suggesting that the Southeast has a stronger claim to such facilities due to the community's extensive trading and business activities. He stated that the current distribution of these resources has caused extensive damage to the Igbo people and urged the population to advocate for their rights to avoid being held accountable by future generations.

In a separate address to his congregation, Odumeje made claims regarding his own mortality, stating that he would not experience a conventional death. He asserted that he would simply disappear from the earth once his assigned work is complete and warned his followers against planning any burial ceremonies for him.
