Odunpazarı Municipality launches free speech therapy for special needs

Odunpazarı Municipality in Eskişehir has launched a free language, speech, and alternative communication program for individuals with special needs aged 3 and older. The initiative is a result of a protocol signed between the Odunpazarı Municipality Barrier-Free Culture and Art Center and the Özel Alfabe Special Education and Rehabilitation Center.

The program begins with a needs assessment conducted by expert therapists. Following the assessment, participants engage in 40-minute individual sessions. Depending on the individual's development and specific requirements, the training and therapy process lasts between a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 weeks.

Sessions are held every Thursday between 09:30 and 13:30 at the Barrier-Free Culture and Art Center located in Seramik Park, Yenikent Neighborhood. The municipality aims to facilitate access to essential services for individuals with special needs and promote a more inclusive urban environment.
