The Odyssey film achieves massive global box office success

Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation of Homer’s “The Odyssey” is achieving massive global commercial success. The epic, starring Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Holland, is reportedly on track to exceed $1.5 billion in global revenue, potentially becoming Universal Pictures’ second highest-grossing film after “Jurassic World”.

In South Korea, the film has become the fastest movie this year to surpass 8 million admissions, maintaining its position at the top of the box office for several weeks. The production is notable for being the first feature film shot entirely with large-format IMAX 70mm cameras.

In India, the film has seen a resurgence in IMAX screenings following strong occupancy rates that outperformed competing titles. In the United Kingdom, demand remains high with extended runs scheduled at the BFI IMAX in London. The film is expected to become available for digital rental and purchase in the United States around November 17.
