OEDAŞ launches FutureFem Program to support women in energy
OEDAŞ has announced the first graduates of its FutureFem Program, an initiative designed to increase female participation in the energy sector. Part of the broader ‘Enerjimiz Eşit’ project, the program hosted 18 female students from nine different departments across six universities.
Operating in Afyonkarahisar, Bilecik, Eskişehir, Kütahya, and Uşak, the program utilized a hybrid model consisting of online training and in-person meetings in Eskişehir. Participants received guidance from OEDAŞ executives on industry processes, recruitment, and professional competencies. As a final requirement, students developed and presented projects covering topics such as energy, sustainability, artificial intelligence, technology, and electricity distribution.
Following a jury evaluation, three students who achieved the highest scores were awarded six-month long-term internships or part-time employment opportunities at OEDAŞ. OEDAŞ General Manager Dr. Necmi Odyakmaz stated that the program is a key component of the company’s approach to equal opportunity and future human resources development.
