OEDAŞ starts 2026 electricity upgrades in Afyonkarahisar and Bilecik

Osmangazi Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ (OEDAŞ) began its 2026 investment programme in two Turkish provinces. In Afyonkarahisar the company will spend approximately 835.7 million TL to install 46 new transformers, lay 55 km of overhead transmission lines and 161 km of underground cables, and replace 12,017 street‑lights with LED units. The project is expected to generate indirect employment for about 220 people. In Bilecik OEDAŞ will invest around 323.9 million TL, adding 26 transformers, 22 km of transmission lines and 94 km of underground cables, and converting 6,848 street‑lights to LED. This effort will create indirect jobs for roughly 100 people. Both programmes aim to strengthen the regional electricity network, improve grid efficiency and modernise public lighting.
