Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group to join Hashidate Fishing Port crab auction

GENSEN HOLDINGS, through its Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group, will participate in the first crab auction at Hashidate Fishing Port in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, on November 6, 2026. This marks the group's first time participating in the seasonal auction following the opening of the crab fishing season.

As part of the ‘Hokuriku Localization Project,’ the company aims to connect guests directly with local specialties. Following the auction, the brand-name ‘Kano Gani’ crabs will be delivered to the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Yamashitaya facility. On November 7, 2026, the hotel will host a guest-participation auction event where guests can bid on special dishes prepared by the head chef using the crabs sourced from the auction.

The initiative is the second phase of a regional co-creation project involving eight facilities in the Kaga area. The project focuses on deepening engagement with local industries and traditions to deliver authentic regional experiences to travelers.
