OEG secures contract for German offshore wind farm protection

OEG has secured a contract from OWP Gennaker GmbH to provide subsea corrosion protection for the Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm located in the German Baltic Sea. The project is being developed by the offshore wind infrastructure platform Skyborn Renewables.

OEG will deliver an end-to-end solution using impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems to protect wind turbine foundations throughout their operational lifespan. The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, manufacturing oversight, offshore logistics, installation, testing, and commissioning.

In partnership with specialist CORROSION, OEG will utilize the ICCP-Subsea Assembly Method (SAM), a remote installation system designed to increase safety and efficiency while reducing installation complexity on subsea structures.
