Oțelul Galați signs striker Zé Turbo to 2028 contract

Romanian club Oțelul Galați announced the signing of forward Júnior José Correia, known as Zé Turbo, on a contract running until 30 June 2028. The 29‑year‑old, born in Bissau, Guinea‑Bissau and also holding Portuguese citizenship, was presented to fans on the pitch before the league match against Dinamo București.

Turbo brings a diverse career that includes youth training at Sporting Lisbon and Inter Milan, senior spells in Portugal (Tondela, Olhanense), Spain (Marbella), Italy (Catania), Argentina (Newell’s Old Boys), Paraguay (Nacional), Switzerland (Schaffhausen, Grasshopper Zürich), China (Nantong Zhiyun), Russia (Pari Nizhny Novgorod), Cyprus (AEL Limassol) and Israel (Maccabi Bnei Reineh). Internationally he has earned 13 caps and scored once for the Guinea‑Bissau national team. He said, “I’m happy to be here, I feel wanted by the fans and I’m eager to play for this team.”
