OFC Men’s Champions League enters semifinals in Fiji

The OFC Men’s Champions League has entered its semifinal stage in Fiji, featuring four remaining clubs: Auckland City FC, Rewa FC, Galaxy FC, and Central Coast FC.

In the first semifinal, defending champions Auckland City FC will face tournament hosts Rewa FC at the 4R Stadium Govind Park in Ba. Auckland City enters the match on a 30-match unbeaten run in the competition and has never lost to a Fijian club. Despite an unconvincing run where many goals were scored late in matches, they remain favorites due to their pedigree.

Rewa FC, led by player-coach Tevita Waranivalu, aims to leverage home support to overcome the New Zealand side. Waranivalu noted that while the team had a difficult start to the tournament, they successfully navigated the group stage to reach this stage.

The second semifinal will see Galaxy FC face Central Coast FC. The winners of both matches will compete in the final on Saturday to determine the champion of the 24th edition of the tournament.
