Ofcom reports decline in UK pay-TV complaints for Q2 2026
Ofcom’s latest figures for the second quarter of 2026 show a decrease in complaints regarding the United Kingdom’s pay-TV services compared to the previous quarter. While pay-TV complaints fell, complaints concerning broadband and mobile services remained stable.
In the broadband sector, TalkTalk, Vodafone, EE, and BT tied for the highest number of complaints, each recording seven complaints per 100,000 customers. Common issues cited included service faults, quality, and connectivity. Conversely, Virgin Media received the fewest measurable complaints among the listed providers.
Regarding mobile services, Sky Mobile saw the highest volume of complaints for pay-monthly services. In the pay-TV category, EE and Virgin Media were the most complained-about providers, while TalkTalk was the least complained-about. The regulator noted that the study focuses on complaints received directly by Ofcom rather than those handled by individual ISPs or alternative dispute resolution services.
