Ofer Ganay reveals Hapoel Tel Aviv's 70 million euro budget
Hapoel Tel Aviv owner Ofer Ganay has revealed that the club's operating budget for the current season is approximately 70 million euros, including taxes. Ganay noted that if the team were based in Athens as a third EuroLeague club, the budget would likely be around 55 million euros.
Following Hapoel's recent victory against Panathinaikos, Ganay praised the Greek side, stating that Panathinaikos has the potential to become the strongest team to ever play in the EuroLeague. He highlighted their unprecedented start to the season, noting a 5–0 record with an average winning margin of 20 points.
Ganay also expressed admiration for Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos, describing him as an ‘inspired leader.’ He characterized Hapoel's recent win at OAKA as one of the club's most significant achievements since their EuroCup semifinal run in Valencia.
