Off-duty officer rescues child in Alagoas

A four-year-old girl was rescued after falling from a second-story window and becoming trapped in low-voltage electrical wiring in Delmiro Gouveia, Alagoas.

Soldier Andreon Bezerra da Silva, an off-duty military police officer, intervened after witnessing a crowd gathering. Silva entered the building and reached the child through a window, successfully rescuing her without injury. The officer, who was returning home after a 24-hour shift, stated he acted instinctively due to being a father.

Following the rescue, the Alagoas Military Police confirmed that Silva is now eligible for a promotion for bravery under state legislation.
