Office ergonomics: Preventing back pain and musculoskeletal issues

Prolonged office work and screen time have increased risks for musculoskeletal and visual impairments. According to World Health Organization statistics, back pain is a leading cause of global workplace disability.

Ergonomics serves as a scientific discipline to adapt workspaces to human anatomy. To prevent spinal issues, such as disc herniation, experts recommend maintaining the natural lumbar curve with proper back support, sitting at a 90-100 degree angle with feet flat on the floor, and avoiding crossing legs to prevent pelvic asymmetry.
