Officers Training Academies hold passing out parades for new Indian military officers

Officers Training Academies (OTA) held passing out parades to commission new officers into the Indian armed forces.

At the OTA in Gaya, 253 officer cadets from the fourth Short Service Commission Technical Entry batch were commissioned. The group included 218 male cadets from the SSC (Technical) Men-65 course and 35 female cadets from the SAC (Technical) Women-36 course. Lieutenant General Le Van Huong, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, served as the reviewing officer. Notable award recipients included Academy Under Officer P. Shashi Kumar, who won the ‘Sword of Honor’ and a gold medal, and was commissioned into the Gorkha Rifles.

At the OTA in Chennai, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan reviewed a parade for cadets completing their pre-commission training. The ceremony highlighted the successful training of new lieutenants, including five cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) directorate for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Officials noted the integration of modern technology, such as drones and cyber training, into the development of future military leaders.
