OFI chess department hosts outdoor event in Heraklion

The chess department of OFI organized a major outdoor chess event at the Loggia in the heart of Heraklion. Led by club coach and International Master Panagiotis Christodoulou, the event allowed dozens of players to compete against a professional master.

For three hours, the venue served as an open field for participants of all ages and skill levels, including children, teenagers, and adults. The free event attracted significant interest, with over 500 people passing through the area, including local residents and tourists.

The initiative aimed to promote chess within the Heraklion community and highlight the presence of the OFI chess department. The organizers expressed gratitude to local supporters, including Donato Pizzeria & Restaurant, DEPANAL S.A., the Municipality of Heraklion, and the Agios Ioannis Cultural Association.
