OFI Crete faces disciplinary hearing following AEK Athens match

OFI Crete FC faces potential disciplinary action following their match against AEK Athens during the sixth round of the Super League. The club has been summoned to appear before the Super League's Disciplinary Body to address incidents recorded during the game. Under the Hellenic Football Federation's disciplinary code, the club faces possible fines ranging from €50,000 to €250,000 and a home stadium ban lasting between two and four matches.

In addition to OFI, several other clubs including Asteras AKTOR, AEK, Aris, and Olympiacos have been called for hearings regarding incidents from the same matchday. The hearings are scheduled for October 15, 2026, based on match reports and police documentation.

Separately, statistical data from the sixth round highlights OFI's reliance on domestic talent. The club utilized seven Greek players in the starting lineup and three as substitutes against AEK, maintaining one of the smallest foreign rosters in the league with only 10 non-Greek players.
