OFI defeated 2-1 by Beerschot in Dutch pre‑season friendly

Greek side OFI Crete lost 2‑1 to Belgian club Beerschot in the fourth pre‑season friendly of their training camp in the Netherlands. The 70‑minute match saw OFI take an early lead when Aitor headed in the opening goal in the 11th minute, but Beerschot equalised through a Mohamed strike before half‑time and secured the win with a second‑half goal by Claes.

The game was part of OFI’s preparation for the upcoming season, with coach Christos Kontis rotating the squad and giving debut minutes to newcomer Nikolaou. A second friendly against Al Samar is scheduled later in the day.
