OFNAC publishes Senegal asset declaration registry

The Office national de lutte contre la corruption (OFNAC) has released a public registry detailing compliance with mandatory asset declarations in Senegal. Out of 3,023 required individuals, 1,328 (approximately 43.9%) are currently listed as non-compliant.

While the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Finance recorded the highest number of defaulters with 247 cases, followed by the Ministry of Armed Forces with 143, certain sectors achieved perfect compliance. The executive branch, the Constitutional Council, and the Supreme Court were identified as the only institutions with a 100% declaration rate.

Within the Presidency and National Assembly, several high-ranking officials were flagged for failing to declare assets, including the personal representative to the Francophonie, a special envoy to the President, and the head of presidential protocol. Conversely, President Ousmane Sonko and several ministers were noted among those who have fulfilled their legal obligations. OFNAC has indicated that the publication of these lists is the first step in a broader verification process that includes auditing bank accounts and real estate holdings to ensure the accuracy of the declarations.
