A woman identified as DLA was arrested by police in Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), South Sumatra, after allegedly stabbing her husband to death on Monday, September 21, 2026.

The victim, a 32-year-old civil servant identified as A, was found dead in the courtyard of the At-Taqwa Mosque in Sukadana, Kayuagung. He sustained multiple fatal stab wounds to his chest, face, and body.

According to South Sumatra Regional Police spokesperson Kombes Pol. Nandang Mu’min Wijaya, the incident was triggered by a domestic dispute regarding funds for their child's medical treatment. The couple, who were reportedly separated, had an argument at the victim's workplace earlier that morning. The confrontation escalated around 12:10 PM when the suspect used a 30-centimeter knife to attack the victim.

AKBP Eko Rubiyanto, the OKI Police Chief, confirmed that officers secured the suspect shortly after the incident and seized evidence, including the weapon and bloodstained clothing. The suspect is currently in custody undergoing legal proceedings.
