Ogan Komering Ilir civil servant fatally stabbed by wife

An Indonesian civil servant (ASN) named Anton, 32, was fatally stabbed by his wife, Deka Ayu, 30, in Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), South Sumatra, on Monday, September 21, 2026. The incident occurred near the Inspectorate Office in Sukadana, Kayuagung, specifically in the area behind the Department of Community Empowerment and Village Development building.

Police reports indicate the attack was triggered by a domestic dispute regarding financial assistance for their child's medical expenses. The couple was reportedly undergoing a separation and divorce process at the time. According to the victim's legal counsel, Anton had been experiencing psychological pressure due to domestic issues and had continued to provide significant financial support for his child despite their separation.

AKBP Eko Rubiyanto, the OKI Police Chief, confirmed that the suspect was apprehended by the Satreskrim unit shortly after the incident. Authorities seized a 30-centimeter knife used in the attack and the victim's bloodstained clothing as evidence. The investigation is ongoing to finalize the legal proceedings.
