OGC Nice defeats Lille 2-1 for first Ligue 1 win

OGC Nice secured their first victory of the Ligue 1 season by defeating Lille 2-1 in a fifth-round match. The win brings Nice to five points, moving them to fourteenth place in the standings, while Lille remains at ten points in fourth place.

Nice took the lead in the 22nd minute when an attempted cross from Amine Amoura resulted in an own goal by Lille's Nathan Ngoy. Amine Amoura doubled the lead in the 67th minute with a left-footed shot from inside the area following an assist from Gautier Hein. Lille managed to reduce the deficit in the 79th minute through a goal by Ayase Ueda, but Nice's defense held to secure the win.

Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdelmonem started the match for Nice in the libero position under manager Olivier Pantaloni, contributing to the team's defensive stability in the closing minutes.
