Mohamed Amoura joins OGC Nice on loan from Wolfsburg

OGC Nice has officially announced the signing of Algerian international striker Mohamed Amoura. The 26-year-old joins the French club on a loan deal from German side VfL Wolfsburg, which includes an option to purchase estimated at approximately 20 million euros.

Amoura, who will wear the number 9 jersey, arrives in Ligue 1 following a period in Germany where he recorded 18 goals in 67 appearances for Wolfsburg. The transfer follows interest from several other clubs, including Lyon, Marseille, and Rennes, as well as interest from Al-Sadd.

Nice President Maurice Cohen stated that securing Amoura despite competition from other clubs demonstrates the team's continued attractiveness. Sporting Director Roger Réquire highlighted Amoura's versatility, speed, and work ethic, noting his ability to play across all attacking positions.
