OGC Nice signs Mohamed Amoura and Niels Nkounkou

OGC Nice has completed two significant signings in the final hours of the summer transfer window: striker Mohamed Amoura and left-back Niels Nkounkou.

Amoura, a 26-year-old Algerian international, joins from Wolfsburg. Despite a difficult season for the German club, Amoura recorded eight goals and three assists in 33 appearances. He chose the French club over interest from other teams, including Olympique Lyonnais and Saudi club Neom, citing the scale of the Nice project.

Niels Nkounkou arrives to bolster the defense following the departure of Melvin Bard to Leeds. Both players were officially presented at the club’s training center on Wednesday, expressing their readiness to contribute to the team's upcoming season.
