OGC Nice to face Olympique Marseille in televised pre‑season friendly on July 25

OGC Nice and Olympique Marseille will meet in a friendly pre‑season match on Saturday 25 July at the Robert‑Louis‑Dreyfus training centre in Marseille. The game is organised behind closed doors for security reasons but will be broadcast live on the Ligue 1 Plus subscription channel, which also plans to show more than thirty summer preparation matches, including Cagliari‑Nice on 8 August and Hull City‑Nice on 15 August.

The fixture comes shortly after Nice announced legal action against OM’s sporting director Grégory Lorenzi, with club president Maurice Cohen saying the club wants respect and will take the case to court in September. Ligue 1 Plus promoted the extensive coverage, noting it is the first time a broadcaster has offered such comprehensive live coverage of Ligue 1 clubs’ summer preparations.
