OG.com Markets seeks CFTC approval for single-stock perpetual futures

OG.com Markets has submitted a filing to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) seeking approval to launch cash-settled perpetual futures linked to individual U.S. stocks. These proposed contracts would have no expiration date and would be available for trading 24 hours a day, five days a week.

Perpetual futures, a derivative format widely used in cryptocurrency markets, allow traders to maintain continuous exposure to an asset without the need to roll positions into new contract months. This structure is intended to reduce operational friction and support continuous liquidity.

OG.com Markets, which recently spun out from Crypto.com as an independent platform valued at $5 billion, is part of a broader trend of firms seeking to bring crypto-style derivatives into traditional equity markets. Recent filings for similar products have also been submitted by Coinbase, Kalshi, and Payward (the parent company of Kraken) through its Bitnomial exchange. The CFTC has been reviewing perpetual contracts on a case-by-case basis since May.
