Ognjen Milić crushes junior Wimbledon champion Ivan Ivanov 6‑0 6‑0 in Plovdiv

Nineteen‑year‑old Serbian tennis player Ognjen Milić defeated Bulgaria's Ivan Ivanov, the junior Wimbledon and US Open champion, with a double bagel (6‑0, 6‑0) in just 46 minutes in the first round of the Challenger tournament in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The win propels Milić, seeded seventh, into the second round where he will face an Italian opponent (either Andree Pirijano or Federico Caniato). Milić recently entered the ATP top 350 and a victory in Plovdiv could lift him into the top 300 for the first time.

Born in Greece and raised in Kragujevac, Milić trained at the Janko Tipsarević Academy under coaches Nemanja Plavšić and Vuk Bolić. He comes from a sporting family – his father Nikola played football, his mother Jasmina was a basketball player and captain of ŽKK Radnički, and his grandfather Milašin “Ujka” was a noted football defender.
