PAOK FC signs Ognjen Ugrešić and pursues Diogo Costa
PAOK FC has completed several significant roster moves and internal leadership communications. The club officially announced the signing of 20-year-old Serbian midfielder Ognjen Ugrešić from FK Partizan. The transfer involves a five-year contract running until June 2031, with a guaranteed fee of approximately €6 million plus €1.5 million in bonuses. Partizan has retained a 15% sell-on clause. Ugrešić, a former Partizan captain and Serbian international, has already undergone medical examinations in Thessaloniki.
Additionally, PAOK is finalizing a deal for Brazilian center-back Diogo Costa. The 27-year-old is expected to join on loan from Krasnodar with an option to buy set at €8 million. Costa, who has a market value of approximately €12 million, is intended to strengthen the team's central defense.
Following a recent European exit, PAOK owner Ivan Savvidis visited the team's training session to deliver a motivational speech. He urged the players to forget the recent defeat and focus on the upcoming domestic league matches, emphasizing the need for unity and a commitment to the club's dignity and goals.
