Ogun and Oyo APC Push for Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state has formed a reconciliation committee of senior party figures to address grievances from aspirants who lost primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections. The committee will meet with dissatisfied members to restore peace and unity within the state party.
In Ogun state, APC governorship candidate Senator Solomon Adeola, known as Yayi, has sought endorsements from senior party stalwarts. He met former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Governor Ibikunle Amosun, receiving their backing and urging party members to remain united. Adeola also called on members across Ogun West to welcome new entrants and intensify grassroots mobilisation. Amosun’s endorsement highlighted the need for cohesion and stronger grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 governorship race.
