APC Announces Governorship and Senate Primary Winners in Ogun, Kwara and Nasarawa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the outcomes of several party primaries across Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections. In Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, known as Yayi, was elected the party’s governorship candidate with 304,055 votes, outpacing the lone challenger who recorded no votes. Governor Dapo Abiodun hailed the peaceful, consensus‑driven process.

In Kwara State, Prince Olalekan Adewoye won the APC senatorial primary for Kwara South, securing 65,256 votes—more than double the total of his nearest rivals. The primary was described as calm and orderly across all seven local government areas.

Nasarawa State saw Senator Ahmed Wadada emerge as the APC governorship nominee, obtaining 195,285 votes out of the 147 ward polls, defeating six other aspirants. The party’s election committee said the accreditation and collation were transparent.

Also in Kwara, APC governorship candidate Salihu Yakubu Danladi declared his primary victory as a collective success for the party, emphasizing unity and thanking President Bola Tinubu for support. All contests were reported as peaceful and aimed at strengthening party cohesion ahead of the 2027 elections.
