Former OGTV Broadcaster Murder Suspects Remanded in Ogun State

A Chief Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, ordered the remand of three suspects accused of killing former Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster Mrs Kitan Oyesiku and her security guard Pelumi Adetayo. The suspects – Sodeinde Olajuwon Philip (22), Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola (27) and Sobu Obafunsho (36) – were taken into custody following a police application filed on July 6 and will remain at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Oba, for 60 days pending the Director of Public Prosecutions’ advice.

Chief Magistrate O. T. Odubanjo adjourned the case until 10 September 2026. The murders, reported in June, prompted an ex‑parte police request for remand and have drawn attention to the violent crime affecting a former state‑owned broadcaster.
