Oh My Hours app uses black circles to visualize time lost to distractions
The iOS application Oh My Hours utilizes a unique graphical representation to help users monitor time spent on distracting platforms. The app divides the day into hourly circular blocks, which turn black when a user accesses an app categorized as a distraction, such as social media or games.
By default, even a few seconds of use can mark an entire hour as lost. Users can customize their distraction lists by selecting specific apps or entire categories. The tool also allows for the scheduling of focus windows; if a blocked app is opened during these periods, the entire time block is marked black.
While a free version is available, paid tiers offer additional features including adjustable tolerance limits before an hour is marked lost, CSV data export, and monthly or annual reports. Subscription options include a $10 annual fee or a $20 lifetime access. Currently, the app is only available for iOS, with no confirmed release date for Android.
