OHB SE secures €1 billion IRIS² contract and defense partnership
Aerospace company OHB SE has secured a major contract worth nearly one billion euros with satellite operator SES. The agreement involves the development and construction of 18 satellite platforms for the European connectivity program, IRIS².
In addition to this large-scale industrial order, OHB Sweden and Saab have signed a letter of intent to cooperate on space-based defense capabilities. This move highlights the increasing convergence of civilian satellite technology and military reconnaissance.
Following these developments, Deutsche Bank Research raised its price target for OHB to 300 euros and maintained a 'Buy' rating. The company is also set to join the TecDAX index on September 21.
