Ohh My Dog film delayed to August 7 amid Spider-Man release clash

The Indian family drama "Ohh My Dog", starring Pankaj Tripathi and directed by Amit Rai, was originally slated for a July 31, 2026 theatrical release. On July 27, the producers announced that the release has been moved to August 7, 2026. The decision was taken just hours before a scheduled press show in Mumbai, which was subsequently cancelled.

The postponement was attributed to the crowded release calendar, in particular the anticipation surrounding Marvel’s "Spider‑Man: Brand New Day" slated for the same weekend, which could limit screen availability for smaller‑budget films. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has already granted the film a U/A rating after minor content edits. The new date places "Ohh My Dog" in direct competition with other midsummer releases, including the comedy‑drama "Aryabhatt Ka Zero".
