O’Higgins and Maule launch scientific innovation node

The Nodo Nexo CTCI O’Higgins-Maule has been launched to bridge the gap between scientific research and the practical needs of the O’Higgins and Maule regions in Chile. Executed by the Universidad de O’Higgins and funded by the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), the initiative aims to transform scientific evidence into actionable solutions for regional challenges.

Key focus areas include water scarcity, climate change adaptation, agro-food innovation, education, and scientific communication. The project operates through a collaborative governance model, acting as a link between science, technology, knowledge, and innovation (CTCI) systems and the productive, public, and community sectors.

Strategic partners in the initiative include the University of Talca, the Catholic University of Maule, the Center for Advanced Studies in Fruit Growing (CEAF), the Rosario Evaluation Center (CER), and the regional governments of both O’Higgins and Maule.
