Ohio Democratic organizer compares Trump to Viktor Orban

Undercover footage has revealed an Ohio Democratic field organizer comparing the political movement surrounding Donald Trump to the leadership of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Zoie Smith, an organizer for OhioWins—the primary field program for the Ohio Democratic Party—described Orban as an “authoritarian leader” and a “dictator” who maintained power by allegedly denying the popular vote. Smith suggested there are parallels between the MAGA movement in the United States and the political landscape in Hungary, noting that in both cases, urban areas express strong opposition to their respective leaders while rural areas provide support.

Smith stated that the strategy to defeat Trump in Ohio involves mobilizing high voter turnout in dense, Democratic-leaning precincts, similar to efforts seen in Hungary to remove Orban from power. She noted that achieving over 75 percent turnout in certain districts is a key component of the path to victory for candidates like Sherrod Brown.
