Ohio high school football enters Week 3 with key conference matchups

High school football programs in Ohio are progressing into the third week of the season, with various conferences highlighting key matchups and standout individual performances.

In the Chagrin Valley Conference (CVC), Week 3 features several high-stakes games. Kirtland and Perry both hold 2-0 records and will face each other in the CVC TV Game of the Week. Other notable matchups include West Geauga against Chagrin Falls, and unbeaten Conneaut traveling to face unbeaten Edgewood. Wickliffe enters their game against Woodward with a 2-0 record, having scored 69 points in their first two contests.

In the Muskingum Valley League (MVHC), Week 2 standout players were recognized following recent broadcasts. New Lexington secured a 36-14 victory over Philo, led by quarterback Lane Ratliff, who recorded four total touchdowns. In another matchup, Tri-Valley fell to Granville 24-21, despite a defensive touchdown by freshman AJ Pusz. Zanesville also saw strong individual play from sophomore receiver Connor Johnson during their recent game.
