Ohio man arrested for threatening U.S. Rep. Randy Fine

Alex Justin Miller, a 26-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, has been arrested and charged following alleged death threats directed at U.S. Representative Randy Fine and former President Donald Trump.

According to federal complaints, Miller sent a graphic email on August 18, which included threats to murder Fine and his family in their home. The communication allegedly contained violent imagery, including a threat to have Fine’s head “hanging from the rooftops of the White House,” and concluded with the message, “DEATH TO RANDY FINE AND DEATH TO DONALD TRUMP!!!”

The investigation was a collaborative effort involving the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Capitol Police, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. Miller faces charges for the interstate transmission of a threat to injure. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.
