Ohio parents and two men indicted in sexual abuse case

Two men and the parents of 16 children rescued from a squalid Ohio residence have been indicted on sexual abuse charges. Gary Siders II and Elizabeth Siders, the parents of the children rescued from the Vinton County “house of horrors,” face allegations of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor.

In addition to the Siders, prosecutors have charged Brandon Henderson Sr., 40, and Josh Saunders, 23. Henderson, who is reportedly the uncle of the 16 children, faces 21 counts related to endangering children. Saunders faces three counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.

The investigation into sexual abuse, which began in late 2023, led authorities to discover the 16 children living in severely neglected and squalid conditions. The state of Ohio has allocated $1 million in emergency funding to Vinton County to support the ongoing care and treatment of the children.
