Ohio Representative Max Miller faces allegations of domestic abuse

Ohio Representative Max Miller is facing allegations of physical abuse following court documents filed by his former wife, Emily Moreno. According to the filings, Emily Moreno accused Miller of throwing her against a wall, scalding her with hot water, and holding a gun to her head. She also alleged that he physically harmed their two-year-old daughter, though Miller denies all accusations.

The controversy has caused internal friction within the Republican party. Bernie Moreno, an Ohio Republican senator and Miller’s former father-in-law, publicly called for Miller to withdraw from his House re-election race, stating that his daughter lives in constant fear of him. Other conservative allies and religious leaders have also joined calls for Miller to step down.
