Ohio State and Big Ten launch blood donation competition

The annual Ohio State-Michigan Blood Battle has officially commenced in Columbus, Ohio. Organizers launched the first of several large-scale donation events at the Schottenstein Center to encourage participation in the lifesaving rivalry.

In conjunction with the Big Ten conference and Abbott, the ‘We Give Blood’ competition is also underway. British social media creators Joshua Cauldwell-Clarke and Jason Riley visited the Ohio State campus to promote the initiative, highlighting national blood shortages and the importance of maintaining supplies for medical emergencies. The campaign aims to drive donations across various Big Ten campuses to address critical shortages.
