Ohio State defeats Ball State 56-3 in season opener

The offense produced 671 total yards, highlighted by a 48-yard touchdown pass from Julian Sayin to Jeremiah Smith and a 65-yard touchdown run by Bo Jackson. Following the win, Ohio State has gained momentum in national recruiting. Five-star wide receiver Braylon Clark, a top-ranked 2028 prospect, included the Buckeyes in his top 12 schools list. Clark noted that he has the “best relationship” with Ohio State among his finalists, which include programs such as LSU, Alabama, and Oregon.
