Ohio State faces quarterback uncertainty following Julian Sayin injury

Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin is expected to be out indefinitely, possibly for the remainder of the season, after sustaining an elbow injury during a 19-15 victory over Indiana. The injury has forced head coach Ryan Day to consider backup options for the Buckeyes' upcoming schedule, including a significant matchup against the USC Trojans.

The decision regarding the starting role rests between two young quarterbacks: true freshman Luke Fahey and redshirt freshman Tavien St. Clair. While St. Clair holds a higher high school recruiting profile, Fahey has served as the primary backup and saw playing time during the game against Indiana.

Analysts and coaches must now determine which player is best suited to lead the team through a challenging stretch of the Big Ten season as the Buckeyes attempt to maintain their championship aspirations.
