Ohio State Highway Patrol to hold Ross County OVI checkpoint
The Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced an upcoming operating-vehicle-impaired (OVI) checkpoint in Ross County. The initiative, which is funded by federal grants, aims to deter and intercept impaired drivers to improve public safety.
Lieutenant Aaron Morgan, commander of the Chillicothe Post, noted that the operation follows a year in which Ohio saw 540 OVI-related fatal crashes resulting in 593 deaths. The checkpoint is scheduled for tomorrow evening, with specific location details to be released tomorrow morning.
