Ohio State offensive line shifts as Siereveld moves to guard

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has provided updates on the Buckeyes' offensive line composition following the conclusion of preseason camp. Senior captain Austin Siereveld, who played extensively at left tackle last season, has been working primarily at right guard during camp. Coaching staff members view Siereveld as an NFL-caliber guard, a move intended to address previous weaknesses at that position.

This positional shift has cleared a path for junior Ian Moore to compete for the starting left tackle spot. Moore has been working with the first-team units and is expected to take over the position. Day noted that Moore possesses the necessary size and athleticism, with his performance trending upward through the summer.

The projected starting offensive line includes Moore at left tackle, Luke Montgomery at left guard, Carson Hinzman at center, Siereveld at right guard, and Phillip Daniels at right tackle.
